Session 3 - Crossing the Channel
Summary
Ley crafted a compass from the residue remaining at the bottom of the yakuza chest, while Kaida noticed that the ship sailing away was named “Hanafuda's Dream” (花札 梦). Edgar noticed some kids spying on them, and after some interrogation the party discovered that a group of asians had recently dug up the chest here, only an hour or so before.
Meanwhile, Kir spotted another group coming towards them over land, and after a polite discussion with Kaida, they deduced that 2 yakuza groups are in conflict, and it is likely that the group lead by the mysterious Katsuo Kamimoto (the man whom they had attacked at the LoEA safe house) has stolen the gem from this other yakuza group.
Leaving the yakuza behind, riding their rented bicycles quickly back to Hugh Town, the party stayed the night and purchased a sloop of their very own (steamers are much too expensive and needed more crew).
Using excellent math skills and the compass, they are now tracking Hanafuda's Dream across the English Channel. They took a daring shortcut across the deep gulf from Normandy to Spain, but have been grounded due to a severe storm.
Battening down the hatches, the party prepares to weather an intense thunderstorm at a small village on the peninsula of Estaca de Bares. The friendly villagers have offered to shelter them for the night, saying something about Santo Fulmen.
