Vreck was born on a remote colony world and learned at an early age how to hunt, fish and survive in the wilderness. His home planet was attacked by the Empire, and he is fleeing for his life since Mon Calamari are viewed as slaves. This colony will be a fresh start, and a great chance to use his special abilities.
