Pirate base raid

We returned to our ranch to get some well deserved rest after trekking all the way out to the mountains. Unfortunately the pirate base loomed large on our thoughts and so we set out to explore a couple of the nearby moons (which really are the size of planets but whatever, sizes are weird this far out into the galaxy.) Anyways. I decided that SOFA needs a dedicated pilot and we just so happen to have the perfect chasis for one! Obviously we couldn’t let the droid maintain his memories given that he had been working for the very pirates we sought to defeat. Who knew what kind of back channels they might have into him. I quickly realized that it was pointless to waste so much time reprogramming him to do exactly what he already does. So I stayed up late one night checking for back entrances and deeper protocols that might put us in danger if we were to utilize him against the pirates… but of course the next day Arran had taken him out for a joy ride before I had finished tightening up any loose ends. He even named the bot! Fine then. He can have him. They did manage to find the base, but almost got blown to pieces by some ships scavenged from Tie Fighters and X-Wings which are Imperial and Rebel fighters… where were those pirates getting supplied from? These pirates must have operated near the battle fields. Verad gave us a detailed step by step plan for our assault of the base. We began searching for good disguises to land. There weren’t any Keldorians on their crew so I disguised myself as a robot. I got the head of one of the bot we found on the ship and worked long into the night hollowing it out so I could fit my head into it. Then I covered parts of my arms and legs in carved durasteel to make it look like I was still a bot under all my gear. I even tried making a voice modification device to sound more botlike but that proved unnecessary as I never spoke during the raid. Once we got there we landed, brought out the crates of explosives as planned and Verad got carried away telling stories about fake adventures. I remained rigid and tried to get information about the pirates. Nothing worked at all. This pirate tech is just garbage compared to the stuff I’m familiar with. I have no idea why these people have such ancient tech that just doesnt respond to anything. It doesn’t even have a security system! I had to take out something called a Hard Drive (I looked it up later, it’s like a data stick except ) and attempt to access the information back in the ship. Nothing. Blast this I’m a mechanic not a slicer. I was so busy I almost didn’t notice the alerts of a capital ship jumping in. That was a surprise, we quickly blew the place to smithereens. What was even more odd was the capital ship seemed misaligned. It’s engines had a bad motivator. It landed right on our ship and nearly killed the entire team. Lucky for me I’ve spent lots of time running for my life out of starships… we made for our ship and took off back for home. The team says that Adi got lost in the capital ship with the person of significance that came out. Hopefully she was able to hide in time. Now to try and work out that hard drive…
