Security Clearance: Chief Security Officer Tu'rin'ga

This entire venture was a terrible idea. Bosatto wasted a lot of resources trying to find this bloody hidden colony – not sure what he's looking for. The fuel convoy was clever – slaving our hyperdrives so we didn't get coordinates in advance, and even now that we have the coordinates, there's no way of letting Bosatto know. We're just lucky that our kajidic fleet could follow with enough supplies to get started here - as small as it is. 2 freighters, 2 small cruisers, 2 amphibious ships, a few Uglies and a group of speeders isn't bad.
This system is cursed – strange gravity wells, massive energy fluctuations, and clearly designed lunar orbits around this gas giant; they are far too regular and symmetrical to be natural. We require a high-powered comm tower to contact the kajidic, but don't have the materials to craft one. Apparently the leadership wasn't smart enough to anticipate a communications issue. This whole outfit is incompetent.
The fuel ship exploded as it arrived - some crazy eco-terrorists embedded themselves in the colony ships - leaving us powerless to return back to Hutt space to report. So we're stuck out here unless we can get a message through somehow.

We managed to establish a small outpost on Amotus IV-a. It is near Amotus IV-d (what those ignorant colonists call “Erimea” - a terrible marketing gimmick in my opinion), and is rich in minerals. The local fauna is a bit aggressive, and there is unstable seismic activity, but it suits the goals of the base. We also managed to build a tiny port base on Amotus IV-d, and we'll be able to send our amphibious vessels over to prey on those weak colonists.
There is an organization of note in the colony - the ECC. They seem quite competent, and foiled a couple of our early attempts at sabotage, but now that we're set up on IV-a, we should be able to grow our power.

The Boss says that we finally made contact with our sleeper agent in the colony, and we'll be able to take over that annoying ECC group. They've been poking their nose into our business.
Our agent said that his channel to the kajidic was disrupted by forces outside of his control, and he couldn't get back to the tower due to “extenuating circumstances.” Yeah, right. Turns out the incompetent droidlover was arrested and nearly gave us up. We already knew that part - Jimmy silenced him for a while with a poison dart as he was about to squeal on us at some meeting. He never actually activated the piggyback device on the comms tower because he got caught sabotaging the colony ships so quickly.
On the bright side, we've been able to start harvesting some fuel locally, and it won't be long before we can send a crew back to Hutt space to get reinforcements.

We took over the ECC base, but the poorly trained pirates surrendered. If I was in charge of this operation, we wouldn't fail so often. Some kind of adventuring group – SoFA – managed to sneak in and arrest our agent and the pirates occupying the base. Thankfully the captured ECC agents had already left with the Boss. But we lost a lot in this failure – we no longer have a base. Our 2 amphibious ships are still on moon d, but they're laying low. Trying to stay away from the native species for now, just small raids on outlying colonies and stealing when no one's around.

Bad news. Our scanners picked up a JumpMaster scouting around our base. We sent the Uglies after, but they must have a souped-up version. I fired Gorta from his gunnery job – there is no way he should have missed them at that range. The Boss agreed.
More bad news – we have a continual encrypted broadcast on our standard Gorensla frequencies, just in case Bosatto sent us reinforcements somehow. The Crimson Dawn somehow cracked our code and came to investigate, and forced us to pay tribute. We had almost collected enough fuel to send a crew back home, too. Disappointing. I thought the Crimson Dawn were long gone when their creepy leader died.
Not sure how we'll manage this twist – I'm looking to leave the first chance I get. Crimson Dawn said they'd return in a month, and that we'd better have more tribute for them - and better quality. Bloody ingrates – this is our stolen plunder, fair and square. We kept quiet about the Colony on IV-d: we didn't want them edging in on our racket.
Timestamp: 27 hours before destruction of base
I heard we lost another ship to some blasted colony rangers. The Boss didn't want to admit the defeat. He's meeting with Crimson Dawn tomorrow, and I don't know what he'll do. We're all tense – everything's falling apart. We only have 1 of our small cruisers and 1 freighter left, 1 amphibious, some speeders and our Uglies. In my spare time I've been crafting a small scout ship to get off this rock - I have a hidden workshop in a cave 4 klicks to the NW. It seems to be a dormant geyser.
The Boss is planning a last ditch effort to survive. A raid on the colony. Our biggest threat is that SoFA group, now that the ECC is captured – they're getting too powerful, and we're pretty sure they were the ones scouting our base. They have a nice productive settlement going, with lots of fuel and food, and apparently they are breeding varactyls - good quality ones.
He had the bright idea of assaulting their homestead during the complete eclipse occurring next week. They are the reason we lost the ECC base and our pirate cove, and so if we wipe them out, no one can stop us. We can take all their fuel and get back to Hutt space - and apparently there are many colony members with bounties…
But I think they're smarter than the Boss, so I'm gone tomorrow. Even if we win, Crimson Dawn is going to enslave us all anyway. I'm out.

Another interesting document file was deleted but not properly wiped; seems like a memo:
The Boss' Big Idea
In the 3rd hour of the eclipse, our amphibious ship will stealth down the river and take out their hydro generator, then start firing at their little hangar. That will provide a distraction for our freighter to airdrop troops on their base. We'll secure the workshop and set up snipers in the orchard, and we'll take the base before they can call for help or know what hit them.
Simultaneously, we will recapture the ECC base to control their waters and the Council Hall with our last freighter. That should keep all their forces separated. However, SoFA is our priority, and I will take care of them personally.
