I know it's been a bit hectic these last several weeks getting the base geared up for new faces and new roles, but I've finally had a chance to give more thought to where we might need to go next. I'm attaching a few ideas I wanted to run by you & get fleshed out before presenting it to the rest of the group; I'm free to talk any time you'd like, as I hope you know. And of course there's more than this, but we have to start somewhere…
Dossier 1
Codename: Cobalt Lance
Summary: Use hyperdrive-equipped asteroids and/or junk starships to take down Imperial forces in orbit.
Details: We don't have the firepower to take down the Star Destroyers looming over Balmorra, and even if we did, the Empire would likely just send more. The Governor's own weaponry plan is impressive, but its centralization makes it an easy target. However, if we can use a decentralized weapon that the Empire can't know the total reach of, they might be hesitant to send more resources into the line of fire.
To that end I propose a 3-part weapon system:
- Hyperdrives: anything capable of making the jump to light speed. I may have contacts on Kuat that could help out here, and perhaps the larger Rebellion might have sources as well (scrapped starfighters, etc). Our mole at the factory might be of help here as well.
- Metallic masses: anything of sufficient size that we can bolt a hyperdrive onto. My first thought is asteroids from a nearby system, though otherwise-useless scrapped ships could work too if we can find any.
- Remote triggers: Each Mass/Drive weapon will need a way to program & initiate the hyperdrive. Tor might have some ideas here; I do not propose any of our people man these weapons, as each is essentially a suicide mission.
Once assembled, each weapon could be made to jump to lightspeed along the path of an Imperial ship, passing through it in what should be a devastating & shield-bypassing collision, without endangering any of our own people.

Codename: Urban Disenchantment
Summary: Start up a counter-propaganda (stars, I hate that word…) network to help the citizens of Balmorra see that the Empire's boot isn't going to be the only option forever.
Details: We'll need to be careful with this one… we don't want Imperials to get too strong a whiff of a resistance lest they crack down before we're ready. That's why I think we need to try & find Grexi (& Bobo) - both because I worry what may have become of them and because Grexi was a skilled propagandist and would have ideas on how to proceed here.
We want the populance prepared for the idea of being out from the Empire's chokehold, and if we can spread some simple sabotage ideas that don't indicate a coordinated resistance that'd be perfect.
I do think we will want to specifically train a few people however, as we may need help overwhelming the Imperials within the shield once it goes up. That, and some people will need to know how to help others get OUT of the way at the same time to avoid casualties.

Codename: Glimworm
Summary: Expand the tunnels under the city to facilitate hidden movement, sabotage, and espionage efforts.
Details: Excavating and clearing more of the tunnels would make it much easier for us to navigate Bin Prime without fear of being seen / caught. The best way to do this seems to be to procure some mining equipment – I'm loathe to contact them, but I believe we DO know a source or two for this.
