I guess you're never quite ready when the time actually comes, even if you've been preparing for it… the last year's worth of preparations are now being put to the test. More to the point, we are being put to the test, and I worry we may not be up to it. Still, everyone has worked hard to be ready… Arali's liasoning with Varentari, Kay's intel (thank goodness we at least know what the Empire is sending!), Sprend & Dash's readying of the troops, everyone's propaganda efforts, Tor's work on the shields, Baron's machinations… I just hope it's enough. This team is much more than I'd ever thought it might be, but we're facing more than I'd ever expected as well. An entire Imperial fleet? A whole planet's worth of troops & equipment?! I worry about the safety of the team and those who rely on us, but I don't know what more any of us could have done to be ready. I know I've worn myself to the bone coordinating (both physically & mentally) the preparations as much as possible.
Still, I think we've comported ourselves well so far. The shields should be going up (or it's all for naught, what with that fleet coming!), the population is (mostly) on our side, the Empire's ground troops are pushed back, and comms are off to the Imperial fleet. Tor can do some pretty amazing (and quick) work when under pressure!
So now some rest, while it can be had… we're as ready as can be for tomorrow. The planet's orbit is mined (soooo tiring… the Force is helpful, but it definitely has its cost I'm finding), our ground troops seem to have the advantage, and Tor's techs are working furiously on having the shields up by morning. All I can do now is try to sleep so my exhaustion doesn't affect my abilities tomorrow or get someone else hurt.

I'm worried. Yes, the shields are up (but now under heavy bombardment from the fleet), and yes, we prevented Pugness' surprise squadrons from taking out the shield generators… but what else don't we know about?
Those dreams, for one… too like the other Inquisitor contact to be a coincidence. There's at least one here somewhere, and without Xenrad's guidance, I don't know if we can defeat it. Especially all split up as we are now… I can only pray to the gods that Sprend & Dash's crew don't have an unexpected tangle with an Inquisitor of their own. This comms blackout is proving more annoying than expected! It's too far to stretch out even with the Force, so I can only trust in their own high levels of competence. I at least have Arali with me… but just where is Swift?! He would be of use right now. Kay & Tor are strong in their own rights, but against the likes of those Inquisitors… makes me ill just to think what might be done to them. Via… well, is Via. Valuable, a strong ally, but beyond that… thoughts for another day.
Still, we must face what's ahead. We've made it to the shield generator (barely – I think Tor has the Last Call held together with Bantha spit at this point) despite heavy resistance, so we have to now trust that we're strong enough to face whatever else the Empire has lying in wait. Preferably with more help from the Rebellion, but we'll do what we must for this planet regardless.
Into the breach…
