§§§§ Recording….

Aaynnie, ….. I .. your loss is almost as much as I can take. .. I know you are g.. gone, but, well, I've had some time to reflect on what has brought me to this point and I need to tell you… well, I need to tell SOMEONE. I hope you can hear me from the next Rotation.

I'm with a new crew now. They seem pretty similar to the last 100 crews I've been with. Motivated by greed and self-preservation. I guess one face is familiar though. Slee, some lizard creature; I saw him on some nameless medical transport half a lifetime ago. I thought he had family with him at the time. I guess they're gone now too. Maybe you can see them where you are. And I guess Keva's interesting enough for a mouse. Well, Chadra-Fan I guess. Squeaky little guy that seems to get excited anytime he's at a console. And the droid…. well, he sure is something. All polished metal. And sinister like death too. He carries this massive gun. I really don't know how he's allowed to run around without a master, but hey, the Balance calls all sorts. Even droids! He's not the best in a fight… well maybe a blaster fight if you could mount him to the front of a speeder or something.

I really thought I was going to meet you today Aaynnie. I was doing my duty, guarding some medical something-or-others when the pirates attacked. None that I recognized but they seemed to know exactly where we were going to be. Probably some corrupt pilot selling out. The pilots were dead soon enough anyways. The Balance needed these supplies delivered though. I could feel that. I just couldn't fight them off. Maybe if we were face to face. Fist to fist. They wouldn't have stood a chance!

Then these guys, the ones I mentioned before, came out of hyperspace like a Hawk-bat out of Chaos! I don't think they could have taken out the pirates with their dumpy little ship but they managed to convince them to let us all land. Insane! I could feel the Balance vibrating in my inner being. These pirates needed to give their lives in payment. It was required.

But Slee managed to talk me down. I still don't know how he did it! I think I was too angry at that point to notice. Sometimes the Balance is subtler than I can read. There was something bigger at play here. I figured I'd stick around and see what was going to happen. It's not like I had a ship. Or a job.

Oh and then I learned about new horrors. The Mayor of whatever flaming droyk backwater place we landed on came and met with us. Apparently there is some epidemic going on infecting the entire planet. Slee and his crew had swapped ships with the pirates but the Ryloth's…. oh …Aayn'aren! …………… The Ryloth's Hope.. There! I said it! The ship was in a pretty bad way. Slee brokered some deal with the Mayor. I suppose these people need the medical supplies just as much as the others did.

Well. I've got nothing else to do Aayn. I will continue to wait for you. I guess the Balance has not called me yet. One day the scales will Balance. On that day I will see you again. I know it.

I hear the little mouse calling. Something about finding a doctor. Maybe it was a witch doctor? Nek take it. I'll go see what he's on about.

Aayn'aren. I'll see you again. May the Scales find you and Judge you. Balance is Perfection.
