Session 5 Recap

Keva leads the party to a high cliff, tracking down Fyr's signal. As they arrive, Keva receives a message from Fyr: “Duck!”

Keva instantly dodges into the trees as 2 scout Trooper speeders arrive, Blaster fire whizzing over his head.

After Slee and Jinx take care of the troopers (Keva may have helped too), Fyr continues the messaging. It turns out she is a childhood acquaintance, another Chadra-fan, and asks Keva to marry her in exchange for getting them out of this mess. She has Imperial codes and access to their communication systems.

Keva agrees, and she tells him to meet him at Gerrenthum, at the Happy Hydrospanner Inn. She'll make all the wedding arrangements.

The party returns to Tropis on the speeders they captured (along with their Cracian thumpers) after tossing their tracking beacons over the cliff, simulating a crash.

As they approach the city Imperial shuttles return to their capital ships in orbit. It looks like Fyr came through on her side.

Before they reach the hangar bays with the shield generators and hyper drive part, Slee gets pickpocketed by some chubby toydarian kid and a small twi'lek girl. They vanish into the alleys, and the party doesn't want to leave behind the important goods they need for the ship and their mission to the Tantive IV.

They do arrive at the Ryloth's Hope, and upload their delivery. Slee begins fixing the hyper drive while Keva and Jinx try to track down the pickpocket ring.

They track down another Chadra-fan - Fyr's contact on Tropis - at a seedy cantina nearby. He is eventually convinced to guide them to the alleyway, but refuses to go further.

Keva and Jinx head down the dark and foggy alley alone, and are mugged, and knocked unconscious.

Meanwhile Slee goes to sleep, but is awakened by noises outside the ship. He almost freaks out, and ends up battling vicious little mynocks that are eating cables from the speeder they had left outside. It is quite damaged.

Slee decides to track down his friends, but the Chadra-fan guide is too drunk to do a proper job, so Slee just heads back to the ship.

Keva and Jinx wake up feeling odd. Keva realizes he has an implant in his arm, and Jinx's eyes which had been mangled in the fight are now replaced with cybernetic ones (and I have decided to let you get ones that allow you to remove 2 setback dice from darkness). And as Jinx arrives back at the ship, he realizes his comm implant is no longer broken, and he experiences a comforting silence, until a clear whisper speaks to him…

Rewards

  • 4 xp for tracking down Fyr's signal and calculating the origin (Gerrenthum)
  • 3 xp for returning the shield generators and hyperdrive part to the ship
  • 3 xp for finding out about the pickpocketing ring (would have got more if you had survived the encounter and met the ringleader)
  • 2 xp for stopping the jungle mynocks from destroying your ship
    • TOTAL = 12 XP (plus 2 for journals)

I think I already reduced Obligation (Keva's, Grayson) slightly
