Loose Ends

Summary

Le'ela, T1-NY and Barrett each hurriedly sign up to join DX-30's crew in an effort to escape New Marrymore. Safely aboard the ship, the crew gets to know each other, while Barrett amuses himself with deceiving the others. That night, a krish sneaks aboard and destroys DX30, but not before he uploads his protocol onto the onboard computer and vacuums the life out of the would-be assassin. The crew search the ship for other intrudeers, but find only a couple hidey-holes.

Zabraks

• Le'ela noticed a table of them at the Heavy Spanner bar
• She beat up a trio of them before joining DX's crew
• DX30 sent Olex to deliver a message to a Zabrak with a broken nose at the Heavy Spanner

The Krish

• Barrett recalls seeing the dead Krish at a bar with others
• A receipt found near the Krish links him to the Heavy Spanner

Summary

The crew arrive on Lo'kam and immediately get up to no good as they before arriving at the destination for their first package (to Le'ela's dismay). A case of mistaken identity places them on their way to their way to their recipient with an expectation that they will kill him promptly then flee. They arrive at the Penthouse amid a convoluted plot created by a Falleen who had been using his powers of emotional manipulation for no good. An elite security force arrives and attempts to apprehend Le'ela who was caught in a very compromising position, but the crew managed to escape through some creative teamwork.

Pacnorval Defence Systems

• Le'ela absconded with Meera's (encrypted) little black datapad of secrets he's been collecting from the women he's seduced
• When Nicole went to face Destine, she needed to prop the 1-way door open with something that was on her person, which Barrett grabbed during their escape. What was it?
• K'arana is poring over the details of the incident, while Lt. Commander Carter (2nd class) is interrogating (most) everyone who was in the building at the time

Summary

The crew land in Gold Creek, and Le'ela leads them to an old acquaintance named Gus who will be able to help them make contact with their target. They are directed to a derelict brewery where they are found by one of Greebus's enforcers; a human named Arynd. They make their way to meet Greebus, but have been double-crossed by Gus who has sold them out to an angry Drall named Jimowitz. He's about to kill them, but they are saved at the last minute by an impressive display of manipulation by Greebus. The Slorn Spice Lord reaffirms his control over Gold Creek, then send the crew off, having delivered their package.

Gold Creek

Coda

Gus is still in arms trade, literally. If you have a couple of working arms, he'll gladly trade you his broken ones for them. (See? Greebus's sense of humour is still in there - somewhere…)

In 15 years, researchers will discover that the strain of Spice found on Silas has particular effects on select species, such as Drall. These effects include damaging their ability to regulate emotion and slowly disintegrating their neural pathways.

Summary

T1-NY and Barrett land in Blanal and make their way to a local droid temp agency, which stirs resentment in T1-NY. Inside the reception area, they find Jilleen, an overworked receptionist whom Barrett befriends while T1-NY steals sensitive files from (including her personal tax info). On the floor, T1-NY separates himself from Barrett in hopes of freeing the droids here, but ends up bolted instead. The bolt downloads a new, obedient OS into T1-NY circuits, which temporarily takes control over the droid. Meanwhile, Barrett finds their target (a tech named Shea), delivers the package, and discovers Jilleen is being blamed for the stolen files. He free T1-NY from the bolt, then smooths things over with Jilleen and her boss.

• How will the downloaded OS affect T1-NY's choices in the future?
• Will T1-NY's serial number being scanned repeatedly make waves in the future?

Summary

The duo arrive on Waloviska Superior, well aware of the oppressive forces at play. En route to the delivery, Barrett caused a bit of a stir with some students, giving T1-NY the opportunity to do some thieving, giving someone else the opportunity to do some thieving from him. They then connected with Tremma who was assassinated before their eyes. They are locked in a safe room with a reporter who reveals incriminating knowledge of T1-NY's past as she seeks help for her miner brother. They gamble with the truth until oppressive government agents force their way into the room and drag K'arana away screaming.

K'arana's Quest

• What became of K'arana?
• Did her story connecting T1-NY to the mining bloodbath raise any flags for Barrett?
• How was K'arana able to forge UDTS credential on the package she hired the Butler to deliver?
• What did the image of her tattoo and matching necklace mean?

Summary

On the way from their last 'delivery' the Butler is damage in a sudden comet storm and is forced to crash land on a nearby moon. Le'ela is able to use an escape pod but the rest of the crew drift in an ocean and discover they are on a somewhat techno-phobic location. They are found by a kind captain who tugs them to a mechanic named Magraw who has some familiarity with circuits. Magraw recognizes the ship as one she has fixed before, but explains that she dealt with a droid named DX25 and the ship had a different crew then as well. With repairs underway, Barrett and T1-NY explore the area, then leave.

• Who exactly are you working for: DX25, 30 or 31?

Summary

T1-NY and Barrett find themselves aboard an unsettling luxury cruiser, delivering a package. Barrett notices an old acquaintaince aboard the ship, and remineces about that altercation while waiting for their target to claim his package. The doctor arrives, panics when he sees the box, then flees. Barrett watches a video feed of a slave being tortured abroad the ship, and T1-NY opens the box, causing the room to flood with a noxious gas. They attempt to flee, overpower a guard and are about to be arrested when Barrett's past catches up to him. They are transferred over to his custody, and are about to be taken away when Le'ela appears and saves the day, explaining everything along the way.
