Here are some points made by others on the internet: * Cool is staying more focused in surrounding chaos, Discipline is resisting instincts and fear. * Cool is not getting distracted, not getting angry when others are trying to irritate you, initiative when going into a fight you know about. Discipline is being faced by scary things (explosions, Rancors, etc), courage in the face of terror. Resisting intimidation or domination. * Discipline is keeping your concentration, Cool is keeping your composure. You can pass a Discipline check while sweating bullets and twitching. You can pass a Cool check while being internally terrified. * Discipline is resisting something you don't want to do. Cool is resisting something you might want to do, even if you know you might regret it. * Han Solo is Cool, Obi-Wan is Disciplined. * Use Cool to blend into plain sight. * Cool is external, Discipline is internal. * Charm vs Deception * //MK// To me this is more cut and dry. It's all about implication. If you are lying it's Deception, if you are telling the truth it's Charm. But I think that makes logical arguments for using Deception/Presence and Charm/Cunning as alternatives to the default ones. * Vigilance vs Perception * //MK// Again this seems to have some overlap. It seems that even in the description of Perception it contradicts itself as to whether its passive or active awareness. Comments by others include: * Vigilance is like passive perception and the ability to react to something, while perception is being able to spot something that is there.
