The Expert Chiss Consortium is a group similar to SoFA - a group of specialists adventurers who travel the galaxy in search of fame and credits. They are known to be competent but there are rumours of unethical behaviour - though no one can prove it. 

Kentucky Jonas views them as his arch-rivals, as he has been beaten several times by the ECC in his various archaeological expeditions. He certainly doesn't trust them!
